So this code absolutely works. However I'd like to know HOW this code works. I understand that you made your own struct which inherited the exception class. I also know that the reason for const char * what() is for the c string we want to print. What I don't know is why the const throw() is placed there? Is this part of the exception inheritance? ~Kai
