I'm sure that's jolly interesting, but C++ and C++11 are not the same thing, hence the fact that C++11 is a specific term.
As it happens, there are still some platforms for which you can't really use C++11 compilers, such as targeting Nintendo machines and PS Vita. If you're creating a cross-platform engine this does rather scupper any plans to implement it making full use of C++11.
