Well Python does make the memory management a breeze, but an interpreted language can never reach the computational speed of a compiled language. You could of course use C++ inside Python for the difficult computations but I really don't like merging them together. My point is, I rarely see someone use Python for scientific computing. But on the other hand it's just what I have seen. I can't speak for the entire scientific community. Do you have some personal experience to support your claim? (Just out of curiosity, I'm not criticizing you).
