About

This contest should ONLY be used for teams during their 2-hour contest time.

Any submissions after the ending of their 2-hour window will count as a disqualification.

For teams wishing to continue to solve problems after the 2-hour time limit, please use the other contest: Code Bash 2026 - Unproctored | HackerRank. Note that any submissions made by a team to this contest prior to or during that team's 2-hour starting window in the main contest will also count as a disqualification.

  • Teams will have 2 hours to attempt to solve the 12 problems for this contest.
  • Time tracking...
    • When beginning your proctored time, please submit the "Time Start" problem. The solution has already been provided for you, so you must simply click the submit button.
    • When ending your proctored time, please submit the "Time Stop" problem.
    • Note that neither the "Time Start" nor "Time Stop" problems count towards your solved problem count, but they do make our lives easier in determining what time frame your team competed during.

Scoring

  • Each question is worth a maximum of 60 points (and a minimum of 0 points).
    • Each incorrect submission prior to the first correct submission to an individual challenge will result in 5 points being reduced from the maximum points that challenge is worth.
    • Once a problem is correctly solved for the first time, the team is awarded the current value of that problem.
  • By the end of the contest, if two teams have the same number of points as one another, then whichever team solved more problems will win.
    • If there is still a tie in scores, then the team with the smallest time penalty will win.
