This is the selection contest for the 2025–29 batch students of VNR VJIET into Turing Hut.

The contest consists of 8 problems to be solved within 2 hours. The problems are arranged in increasing order of difficulty. Only the following programming languages are allowed: C, C++, Java, and Python.

Rules

  • The creator of this contest is solely responsible for setting and communicating the eligibility requirements associated with prizes awarded to participants, as well as for procurement and distribution of all prizes. The contest creator holds HackerRank harmless from and against any and all claims, losses, damages, costs, awards, settlements, orders, or fines.
  • Code directly from our platform, which supports over 30 languages. Learn more here.
  • Only the HackerRank account submitted in the registration form must be used to participate. Using any other HackerRank account will result in immediate disqualification.
  • Participants will not be allowed to use any compiler or IDE other than the one provided on HackerRank to run their code.
  • Tab switching and desktop switching are strictly prohibited. Participants found engaging in either will be disqualified.
  • Participants must not view or copy code from other participants' screens. Any such behavior will be treated as malpractice.
  • We strongly encourage all participants to attempt the contest honestly. The use of AI tools or any unfair means is strictly discouraged.
  • Plagiarism checks will be conducted after the contest. If a participant is found to have plagiarized, both the participant who copied and the source participant will be disqualified.

Scoring

  • Each problem has a pre-determined score.
  • There is no penalty for incorrect submissions. Participants will be ranked based on the number of problems solved. In case of a tie, the sum of the time of the first correct submission for all the problems will be considered. The lower this value, the better the rank.
  • A participant will score points for a problem if and only if they solve the question correctly with all the test cases passing, i.e., there is no partial scoring.
