Turbine.ai•  January 2018 - Present
We are an AI-driven drug research startup developing novel ways to extend the current limits of molecular knowledge using computer simulations from a network theory approach As a Python developer, I am working on the core software suite (cloud pipeline, distribution system and simulator). - My main contribution as of now is an in-house distributed task scheduler that I built from scratch. It manages the simulation pipeline in the cloud: starts simulations upon user request, collects data, manages hardware resources, tracks logs, and failures (it is similar to Hadoop MapReduce or Apache Spark) - I also worked on simulated experiment protocols, extending, parallelizing, and fastened some of them, implementing the pharma project-specific needs of biologists. - As part of a team of 8 developers, I have responsibilities in all parts of our work processes: planning, development, testing, maintenance, gathering user requirements. Keywords: Python, C++, Linux, PyTest, Cloud, Distributed Systems, Biotech, Drug development, Drug kinetics.
