Instructions

Thanks for applying for Springboard's Software Engineering Career Track. We’re impressed with your background, and we're happy to move your application forward to our technical skills survey.

Introduction

  1. What we're testing: This skills survey is designed to test your JavaScript skills and programmatic problem solving.

  2. Time: We estimate it will take you 60 minutes to complete the skills survey.

  3. Scoring: All three automated tests must run successfully.

Skills Survey Details:

  1. To complete the survey, you will need to create a HackerRank profile– please do so with the same email you used when you applied to the course.

  2. This is a timed coding test. Most people complete the technical skills survey in 60 minutes. The test will time out after 3 hours, so please make sure to complete it in one sitting.

  3. We recommend that you develop your solution within the testing platform itself instead of an external editor or IDE. In case you do choose to use an external editor or IDE, test frequently on the platform to make sure your code works!

  4. To understand more about the environment, time limits, etc. you can read the FAQ here

  5. For each problem, you have to read input from the console (also called standard input) and write your output to the console (also called standard output). You can run your code as many times as you like before you submit your entry. Feel free to insert print statements in your code liberally for debugging your code. However, remember to remove the debugging statements before submission!

  6. Reminder, you can use Google (and StackOverflow) to look for answers to any questions you have as they arise — just like you would when working on a normal coding project.

Good luck!!!
