4. Scoring system. See Scoring for details.

Scoring

  • Each challenge has a pre-determined score.
  • A participant’s score depends on the number of test cases a participant’s code submission successfully passes.
  • If a participant submits more than one solution per challenge, then the participant’s score will reflect the highest score achieved. In a game challenge, the participant's score will reflect the last code submission.
  • Participants are ranked by score. If two or more participants achieve the same score, then the tie is broken by the total time taken to submit the last solution resulting in a higher score.
  • We want to give special thanks to HackerRank for providing this platform. HackerRank default judge system will be used in this contest.

    1. Tie breaker: Sum of time of the first correct submission for all the problems.

    2. Time used for tie breaker: Viewing individual challenge. Your time to solve a challenge is calculated from the time you read an individual challenge until you submit your first correct solution.

  • Each round equally contributes to the final score. The maximum points you can earn per round is 1000 points. Practice round contributes ZERO points to the official contest.

  • You must submit your code on HackerRank within contest time. All late submission does not count towards rank.

  • In order to get points, you must pass all tests provided within a given time.

  • Contestants accummulate scores after each round. By the end of the Final Round, 10 contestants with the highest accumulated score in Group 1 will be honored in the celebration.
