Work Experience
DevOps Engineer II
CallMiner•  June 2021 - Present
As a DevOps Engineer specializing in automation, I bring a strong focus on CI/CD and infrastructure management, along with a commitment to continuous learning and certification advancement. My technical expertise includes programming languages such as Java, C++, C#, Python, Lua, and key DevOps tools like Kubernetes, Terraform (in which I am certified), Octopus, Azure, and AWS, bolstered by a robust foundation in Linux. I have pioneered the implementation of Terraform within my organization to automate the creation and configuration of environments for both developers and customers. My work involves using Python, Terraform, GIT, Bash, and PowerShell to automate DSC, effectively configuring tools like Grafana, ArgoCD, HELM, Microservices, APIs, and UIs. I have developed a variety of utility scripts in PowerShell and Bash for efficient server management operations. These scripts are instrumental in managing SQL and Mongo databases, server operations, product upgrades, releases, database migrations, user permissions, and accounts. My skills also extend to creating Python and PowerShell scripts for the automated generation of YAML configurations for Azure Pipelines and managing GIT operations. Additionally, I have crafted Python scripts for configuring Kubernetes resources and PowerShell/Bash scripts for automating company website smoke-testing. To support knowledge transfer within my organization, I have produced professional documentation and training materials focused on ephemeral environments and tools like ArgoCD, Kubernetes, Octopus, Grafana, Terraform, and GIT. In my role, I combine Azure DevOps, Rancher, GIT, Octopus, Python, PowerShell, YAML, and Kubernetes to automate and manage CI/CD operations efficiently. I am also actively involved in troubleshooting escalated production issues related to services, microservices, APIs, and networking, aiming to optimize the deployment process and minimize service disruptions.
Software Engineer
Arthrex•  August 2020 - May 2021
This is the internship I got a hold of through Florida Gulf Coast University. I collaborated with Arthrex Software Development Manager Sammy Akkoush. My team and I met with Mr. Akkoush on a weekly basis to discuss project progression and direction. The purpose of the Arthrex Scorecard project is to create a web-based application that will be used across Arthrex for scoring and grading their suppliers such as companies that supply materials, resources, services, and more. It is an automated system in which admins can create scorecards based on vendors which admins themselves or other users (employees) designated as graders are able to evaluate vendors by filling out the scorecard questions. The Scorecard system automatically determines a score for any vendor based on the weight of each question which can be used for the feedback of vendors, or for the decision making of Arthrex. With the new system being built in this project, the user (employee) only needs to enter their grading (rating, evaluation, etc.) of the supplier, and the system will take care of uploading, posting and processing the data. The Scorecard application’s purpose is to generate a data model that can be used by Arthrex’s future decision making with regards to selecting vendors. Additionally, the application can be used by the vendors for feedback gathering. ---------------------------------- LINK TO PROJECT PRESENTATION: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f4ggrxtzptE
