Work Experience
Postgraduate Researcher
TU Dublin•  October 2020 - January 2025•  Dublin
Research on modelling the formation of holographic gratings in hybrid photopolymer media and modelling the operation of theoretically modelled nanocomposites as environmental sensors. Running functional programming scripts (R & Python) in parallel for numerical simulation of coupled partial differential equations using Crank-Nicolson implicit finite-difference methods. Data visualization and extracting actionable insights from numerical results of complex equations. Conduct research under minimal supervision. I've presented my research many times to both technical and non-technical audiences, most notably at the 22nd ECMI Conference on Industrial and Applied Mathematics in Wroclaw, Poland; the 36th Annual Meeting of the Irish Mathematical Society; and at the 9th Annual Irish SIAM Student Chapter Conference.
Data Analyst
OpenApp (an IQVIA business)•  February 2017 - September 2023•  Dublin
Data mining, pre-processing, analysis and quality control of large, complex datasets using R, Python (pandas) and SQL. Develop and maintain performance dashboards. Software testing, tracking technical issues via Jira. Maintain and organize a data framework. Data visualisation with Tableau Desktop/Workbook. Keeping documentation for all code written up to date. Communicating with cross-functional teams of project managers, developers, service desk personnel and clients to deliver results within a deadline. Optimising and automating project workflow.
