9 day programming marathon

The contest has ended

What are you doing this summer? Why not have some fun solving a few interesting challenges and win a cool prize everyday?

The contest hosts 5 challenges which are progressively harder to solve. You'll have to 'unlock' each problem to view and solve the next one for a chance to win cool prizes!

The Prizes

This time we have a bunch of prizes appreciating all your efforts in various ways.

  • Top 10 contestants from global leaderboard will win exclusive HackerRank T-shirts.
  • Top 3 contestants from every challenge leaderboard will receive a book. The books will be related to the concept the challenge is designed from. For example, a contestant who solved an ML challenge would receive an ML book.
  • Daily winners : A contestant who scores highest that particular day will win an exclusive HackerRank T-shirt. Please note this isn't the same as being first on the leaderboard.

Challenges

The contest hosts 5 challenges. The following are the 3 algorithmic challenges we have for the contest.
  • 'Restaurant' is easy
  • 'Equal' is moderately hard
  • 'K-Balance' is hard
These are 2 very interesting games we have as part of the contest!
  • 'Amazons' is a 2 player game.
  • 'N Puzzle' is a 1 player game.

Sponsors

Memsql is interested in hiring top contestants from the contest. They are working to change how data should be stored, distributed, and accessed. That’s a big problem with bragging rights attached. Data is expanding so fast that existing databases can’t keep up, and when your modern application connects to a decades-old technology, it’s pretty easy to isolate the bottleneck. MemSQL engineers relish those kinds of challenges and enjoy the autonomy to solve them.
