Pipeline Engineer

As a Senior Pipeline Engineer in the Cinematics Division of Blizzard Entertainment, I am responsible for authoring software -- both GUI and commandline, standalone and as extensions to third party software -- and API to support artists and technicians. I participate in design meetings for solutions to pipeline issues as well as innovations to carry our media-generation pipeline into the future.
Pipeline Developer

As a Lead Pipeline Developer stationed at James Cameron's Lightstorm Entertainment Inc., I led a small pipeline development team which represented a first line of defense and dedicated on-site support for James and his crew as they recorded motion capture and authored previsualization assets for Avatar 2, 3, & 4 as well as projects for Disney Imagineering. I facilitated communication between the companies, and assisted in software releases and scheduling of motion capture shoots designed to stress the pipeline, revealing its vulnerabilities.
Department Supervisor

Over the course of 15 years, I filled a vast number of roles from Supervising Technical Director, Department Supervisor of Crowds, Lead Technical Director, Technical Assistant, to Render Assistant. I worked on films beginning with Shrek and including Madagascar, Kung Fu Panda, Over the Hedge, Bee Movie, Flushed Away, How to Train Your Dragon, and many more. I assisted artists, taught classes, developed pipeline, led development initiatives, conducted interviews, led teams from a handful to a dozen direct reports, and interfaced directly with directors, producers, visual effects supervisors, and department heads.
