This certificate, aimed at preparing teachers to craft integrated, project-driven learning experiences, leverages the Cyber Innovation Center’s Cyber / STEM curricula. A cohort of K-12 teachers and administrators from across the nation worked to become leaders at their school in the field of cyber, develop or enhance their school’s cyber programs, engage students in new and innovative ways, and connect students with the cyber jobs of today and tomorrow. Courses in the 12-hour certificate program included Perspectives and History of Cyber and STEM, Project and Problem-Based Instruction, Cyber Literacy, and Methods for STEM Instruction.

I studied Computer Science at Henderson State, declaring a minor in Physics. I was a member of the Honors College, I volunteered as a tutor and a university ambassador, and I worked 30+ hours per week 7 of my 8 semesters there. I served as the Vice-Chair of the Association for Computing Machinery Student Chapter my senior year. I graduated Cum Laude.
