Work Experience
Student Intern
ISO New England• June 2021 - Present
At ISO New England, I had to make updates and changes to sever of our load forecasting models. Additionally, I was tasked with analyzing our data along with the outputs of our models in order to plan and implement changes that would improve our models. To accomplish this, I mostly worked with SQLite, python, and several of the python data science packages; like pytorch, numpy, sci kit learn, pandas, and lightgbm.
Software Developer Intern
Allscripts• May 2019 - September 2019
At Allscripts, I was responsible for creating a domain specific language for the company that would facilitate the creation of validation rules. The results of my work led to a faster and more streamlined development environment. To accomplish this, I mostly worked with C# and the .NET Framework. I frequently presented my progress and had to integrate feedback into the final product.
Education
University of Massachusetts at Amherst, Amherst
Computer Science, MS• September 2020 - December 2021
3.97 GPA. Independent study with UMass' Information Extraction and Synthesis Laboratory, where I helped oversee and analyze the creation of our labeled dataset - additionally I created several NLP transformer baselines used for data evaluation. Assisted with research at UMass' Autonomous Learning Laboratory, where I helped implement a proposed reward learning RL algorithms along with a baseline for comparison. Course work covers topics of neural networks, reinforcement learning, natural language processing, dimensionality reduction, visual computing, and efficient systems for data science.
