Working at Quora

Our mission is to share and grow the world's knowledge. Join us.

The potential of this is huge. If we can execute on our mission we're going to make a big impact on the world.

We just need to get a smart group of people together that can get us there.

Make a positive impact on the world
Quora is a group of exceptionally talented people all working together to share and grow the world's knowledge. We believe our progress toward this mission will have a great long-term impact on the world. When people have access to more knowledge, they can make better decisions, find better jobs and do them better, solve problems in their life, raise their families better, and much more. Knowledge is important to the world and the downstream effects of increased access to it are huge.

This is going to be around forever
Much of the knowledge that we are surfacing will still be useful years or decades into the future. Every day, as our content base grows, Quora gets more useful to everyone. In support of this, we are a long-term focused company: we are not aiming for an acquisition and our goal is to build a sustainable independent business that can last forever. This means that your time spent here will not be wasted.

It's still the beginning
In the future Quora will be much bigger than it is today. The groundwork that is being laid now is especially important because its impact will be magnified as we scale up. Much of the fundamental work has yet to be done. Low-hanging fruit is everywhere. The vast majority of knowledge is still not on the internet -- that is the opportunity in front of us.
