Drupal is a free and open-source web content management framework written in PHP and provides a robust back-end framework for websites. Drupal allows for handling various content types including video, text, blog, menu handling, real-time statistics, etc.

This competency area includes an understanding of Menu Management, Taxonomy, User Management, and Optimization, among others. 

Key Competencies: 

  1. Menu Management - Navigating through the Drupal admin page, various menus and regions, using the dashboard, restructuring content, modules, appearance and theme configuration. 
  2. Taxonomy - Classifying website content based on specific taxonomy terms, using Drupal terms and vocabulary. Ability to add new taxonomies and configuring name, description, text format, URL alias, and so on. 
  3. User Management - Navigating through the user permissions on Drupal, and knowledge of various permissions and user roles including Node, Overlay, Path, contextual links, and user roles such as anonymous, authenticated and administrators. 
  4. Optimization - Knowledge of Page Caching, enabling cache blocks and cache pages for anonymous users, compressing CSS files, moving media files and static files to a CDN, theme optimization, and so on.
