Scenario:
Top scorers of off-site (On Hackerrank) will get chance to participate in On site round (In IISc)

Prize:
Here is the plan for your summers: Prove yourself to be a SUPERCODER and Win summer internship at SERC, IISc Bangalore (Internship will be unpaid).

Challenges:
There is no big challenge but two small ones:

Off-site (On HackerRank):

-- Mark your calendars for the 21st Feb night 9:00 to 11:30pm.
-- You can participate in the comfort of your home. You'll be given around 4-6 questions to solve.
-- Questions would be mostly algorithmic and puzzles type.

On site (In IISc Bangalore SERC):

-- Be with one of the World's fastest Supercomputer @SERC,IISc on 28th Feb.
-- Show off your skills for multi-threading programming on a 32 core machine.
-- Don't want to be entangled in threads? Single threaded solutions will also be accepted.
-- You may require to give approximate algorithms or exact algorithms for some of the hardest problem in computer science.

Rules:
-- This is a solo event, so the best your team can do is to cheer for you.
-- Yes, your beloved laptop can be with you but no internet access would be allowed.
-- Leave your textbooks, notes, etc. at home! Don't be a bookworm!

Event specific rules:
-- Off-site: You are allowed to use your favourite programming langauge.
-- On site: The solution has to be in one of our favourite languages(C, C++, Java, Python) this time.

Rules

  • All the challenges will have a predetermined score. Score of a game is calculated using Bayesian Approximation
  • This contest will appeal to programmers who're interested in interesting algorithmic challenges, AI challenges and of course general programming
  • HackerRank admins decision will be final
  • Please refrain from discussing strategy during the contest.
  • Any case of code plagiarism will result in disqualification of both the users from the contest. We've a fairly good plagiarism detector that works at the opcode level.
  • You can code directly on our interface. We support 20 major languages. You can have a look at the environment in which we run your code
