T-Systems South Africa spearheaded the development of the ICT Academy in 2003 in order to contribute in addressing the ICT skills shortage in South Africa and made a positive difference in the lives of young individuals who never would have had the opportunity to further their studies. Since its inception 1,824 graduates were enabled with internationally recognised ICT qualifications, with a 95% pass rate and more than 85% employment rate in ICT related fields for graduates. The ICT Academy programme is registered with the MICT Seta and is aligned with South African Government legislation. We make use of Training Excellence as assessor and moderator to ensure we adhere to the unit standards as specified by the Seta. Other partners of the ICT Academy include Microsoft, SAP and CompTIA.
