1st UGV south zone programming contest 2022
(SZPC2022)
The contest will be held in two-phase
 Phase-1(Preliminary): This phase will be taken online
 Phase-2 (Final): This phase will be taken offline at the UGV campus.
Eligibilities:
Student studying in a school, college and university in South Zone of Bangladesh (Barisal,
Barguna, Bhola, Jhalokati, Patuakhali, Pirojpur, Khulna, Bagerhat, Chuadanga, Jashore,
Jhenaidah, Kushtia, Magura, Meherpur, Narail, Satkhira, Madaripur, Gopalganj, faridpur, and
Shariatpur) can participate this contest.
There will be three levels for the contest.
Primary Level- Class 5 to 10
Secondary Level- Class 11 to 12 and Polytechnic
Undergraduate Level- Undergraduate students.
Based on preliminary contest 50 participants/teams from each section will be selected for the
final contest

Prizes

Prizes: For each level. ●Champion (individual or team) – 20,000 BDT + Certificate!!! ●1 st Runners Up (individual or team) – 15,000 BDT + Certificate!!! ● 2 nd Runners Up (individual or team) – 10,000 BDT + Certificate!!! ● Participation Certificate for all. ● Picture of the top performers will be published both on the UGV website and in the newspaper as well as will be presented at the UGV premises.

  • The creator of this contest is solely responsible for setting and communicating the eligibility requirements associated with prizes awarded to participants, as well as for procurement and distribution of all prizes. The contest creator holds HackerRank harmless from and against any and all claims, losses, damages, costs, awards, settlements, orders, or fines.

Contest Rules and Regulations: Phase - 1: Preliminary Contest 1. Students have to complete online/offline registration to attend the contest. For detail, see the Registration Process. 2. The contest will be held through an online platform like Hacker rank etc. 3. Top 50 participants/teams will be selected for the offline final contest. 4. Students have to form a team of a maximum of 2/3 members. 5. The language of the contest should be C, C++, Java, Python, etc. 6. If any unfair means are suspected the candidate will be disqualified immediately. 7. Students have to follow the instructions and systems of the online contest platform. 8. For any further rules ACM-ICPC rules and regulations will be followed. Phase - 2: Final Contest 1. Selected participants/teams from the preliminary contests need to register for the final contest. 2. The contest time, date, and venue will be published on the UGV respective website. Also, a 3. The participants must have to be present at the venue 30 minutes before the start of the contest. 4. Scoring

  • Each challenge has a pre-determined score.
  • A participant’s score depends on the number of test cases a participant’s code submission successfully passes.
  • If a participant submits more than one solution per challenge, then the participant’s score will reflect the highest score achieved. In a game challenge, the participant's score will reflect the last code submission.
  • Participants are ranked by score. If two or more participants achieve the same score, then the tie is broken by the total time taken to submit the last solution resulting in a higher score
