Aquathon is a mini-hackathon which is newly presented by the IEEE Student Branch of IIT with the aims of introducing undergraduate freshers to the world of hackathon.

This mini-hackathon is exclusively target all Level 04/Year01 students at IIT who are new to the field of technology and eager to experience challenges.

Prizes

  • Winner - LKR 10,000 + Certificate
  • First Runner-Up - LKR 7,500 + Certificate
  • Second Runner-Up - LKR 5,000 + Certificate

Three lucky winners will get the IEEE global membership for free while all participants will awarded with an e-certificate

Rules

  • The creator of this contest is solely responsible for setting and communicating the eligibility requirements associated with prizes awarded to participants, as well as for procurement and distribution of all prizes. The contest creator holds HackerRank harmless from and against any and all claims, losses, damages, costs, awards, settlements, orders, or fines.

  • A team should be composed of a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 3 members.
  • All team members must be Level 4 (1st year) full-time or part-time undergraduates at the Informatics Institute of Technology.
  • Each participant in the competition can only be a member of one team.
  • Only the team leader should fill out the registration form and the required details of the team members.
  • No participant will be allowed to change teams once they register.
  • A team should have a team name and a team leader assigned.
  • You can use any programming language during the competition.
  • Using of AI support during the competition time period will be disqualified the team.
  • Any misbehave or misconduct during the competition will be disqualified the team.
  • The decision of the organizing committee will be final.

Scoring

  • Each challenge has a pre-determined score.
  • A participant’s score depends on the number of test cases a participant’s code submission successfully passes.
  • If a participant submits more than one solution per challenge, then the participant’s score will reflect the highest score achieved. In a game challenge, the participant's score will reflect the last code submission.
  • Participants are ranked by score. If two or more participants achieve the same score, then the tie is broken by the total time taken to submit the last solution resulting in a higher score
