CCS Coding Olympics: The Ultimate Coding Competition

The Coding Olympics is an electrifying battleground for the brightest coding minds. This prestigious event challenges participants to test their skills in problem-solving, algorithm design, and programming prowess. Competitors will face complex coding tasks in a variety of programming languages, vying for top honors and the title of Coding Champion.

Champions will receive ₱1,000.

Rules

  • The creator of this contest is solely responsible for setting and communicating the eligibility requirements associated with prizes awarded to participants, as well as for procurement and distribution of all prizes. The contest creator holds HackerRank harmless from and against any and all claims, losses, damages, costs, awards, settlements, orders, or fines.

  1. The competitor may use any programming languages to solve the problems.
  2. There will be a total of five (11) problems to be solved during the competition, its breakdown are as follows:

  1. A pre-event orientation will be done 30 minutes before the actual competition. Proctors will be assigned during the competition to monitor the competitors.
  2. During the competition, the competitor’s browser must be maximized, and the competitor must not switch or open another tab. Switching tabs will result to disqualification.
  3. The competitor may skip the problem if unable to solve it and proceed to the next problem.
  4. The competitors can only raise concern to the assigned proctors. Talking/Chatting or use of mobile phones are not allowed during the competition.
  5. The competitor with the greatest number of points will be declared the winner. In case of a tie, the competitor who finished answering the problems faster will be declared as winner.
  6. The competition committee may alter/update this guideline if necessary.

Scoring

  • Each challenge has a pre-determined score.
  • A participant’s score depends on the number of test cases a participant’s code submission successfully passes.
  • If a participant submits more than one solution per challenge, then the participant’s score will reflect the highest score achieved. In a game challenge, the participant's score will reflect the last code submission.
  • Participants are ranked by score. If two or more participants achieve the same score, then the tie is broken by the total time taken to submit the last solution resulting in a higher score
