And so reading further, I found the "double sorted on len" solution from sir_suhrab that really is super-fast (easily sorts everything in under 1s). Still find it weird as to what's going on there though, in that "outside" sort. Some implicit string-to-int magic that's faster than actually passing the "int" func as a key to sort?
