It would have been better to not manual-manage raw pointers in the first place, opting instead for use of a vector of smart pointers. I sincerely hope beginners reading their prefilled code don't latch too tightly to bad practices, especially to features that aren't even part of the language standard (like native VLAs, though C++14 almost brought us dynarray; bummer)
