POLYCC CYBER WARRIOR 2025 - CODE RUMBLE (15 -17 JULAI 2025) Description: Code Rumble is an individual computer programming competition where each participant must solve the given problems using one of the following programming languages: C++, C#, Python or Java.

  • First Place: Trophy and medal
  • Second to Tenth Place: Medal

All participants, supervising lecturers, and coaches will receive an e-certificate of participation or achievement.

Rules

  • The creator of this contest is solely responsible for setting and communicating the eligibility requirements associated with prizes awarded to participants, as well as for procurement and distribution of all prizes. The contest creator holds HackerRank harmless from and against any and all claims, losses, damages, costs, awards, settlements, orders, or fines.

Competition Format:

  • Participants must complete a set of 8 questions with varying difficulty levels and scores.
  • The winner is determined based on the highest score and the fastest completion time.

Participation Requirements:

  • Open to all active POLYCC students in the field of computing or active students in the DIT/DDT/STM/SSK programs.
  • A maximum of 3 entries from Polytechnic.
  • A maximum of 2 entries from Community College.
  • The competition will be conducted via the online HackerRank platform.
  • Participants are required to register a HackerRank account using their own active email.
  • Participants are prohibited from using AI chatbots, such as ChatGPT or similar software, during the competition.
  • Participants are not allowed to discuss problems or solutions with external parties or other participants.

Scoring

  • Each challenge has a pre-determined score.
  • A participant’s score depends on the number of test cases a participant’s code submission successfully passes.
  • If a participant submits more than one solution per challenge, then the participant’s score will reflect the highest score achieved. In a game challenge, the participant's score will reflect the last code submission.
  • Participants are ranked by score. If two or more participants achieve the same score, then the tie is broken by the total time taken to submit the last solution resulting in a higher score
