  • The creator of this contest is solely responsible for setting and communicating the eligibility requirements associated with prizes awarded to participants, as well as for procurement and distribution of all prizes. The contest creator holds HackerRank harmless from and against any and all claims, losses, damages, costs, awards, settlements, orders, or fines.

  • Eligibility: The contest is open to all participants who have a valid Hackerrank account. (Entry Fee - Rs.20)
  • Date and Time: The contest will take place on 1st October 2023, Sunday, from 8:15 PM to 10:15 PM (local time).
  • Registration: Participants must register for the contest in advance through the Hackerrank platform. Late registrations may not be accepted. (Contest link will be sent to your Registered Email IDs, register asap by scanning the QR)
  • Language and Environment: Participants are allowed to code in any programming language supported by the Hackerrank platform. They should ensure they have a stable internet connection and a suitable coding environment.
  • Contest Duration: The contest will run for 2 hours, from 8:15 PM to 10:15 PM. Participants must submit their solutions within this timeframe.
  • Problem Set: The contest will consist of a set of coding problems of varying difficulty levels. There will be a total of 6 questions
  • Problem Solving: Participants should attempt to solve as many problems as possible within the given time limit. Each problem will have a specified point value based on its difficulty.
  • Submission Format: Participants must submit their solutions as source code files through the Hackerrank platform. The code should be self-contained and executable.
  • Plagiarism: Participants must refrain from any form of plagiarism or cheating. Any participant found to be involved in dishonest practices will be disqualified from the contest.
  • Collaboration: Collaboration or discussion with other participants during the contest is strictly prohibited. Participants should work independently and refrain from seeking or providing assistance.
  • Scoring and Ranking: Participants will be ranked based on the number of problems solved correctly and the total points earned. In the case of a tie, the participant with the shorter total submission time will be ranked higher.
  • Disputes: Any disputes or clarifications regarding the contest should be addressed to the contest organizers through the designated communication channels. The organizers' decisions will be final.

Scoring

  • Each challenge has a pre-determined score.
  • A participant’s score depends on the number of test cases a participant’s code submission successfully passes.
  • If a participant submits more than one solution per challenge, then the participant’s score will reflect the highest score achieved. In a game challenge, the participant's score will reflect the last code submission.
  • Participants are ranked by score. If two or more participants achieve the same score, then the tie is broken by the total time taken to submit the last solution resulting in a higher score
