Prizes

  • Top 3 teams will be awarded by Certificate of Excellence for the event.
  • Prize money worth 10,000 INR will be distributed to the winner teams.
  • The winner team has to complete the task; If they fail to complete the task, then they will be not eligible for certificate.
  • Winning teams will only be awarded if they completed the full registration process in Tech-U-Topia.
  • Participation Certificate for all the participants registered both in Tech-U-Topia and Hacker-Rank.

Rules

  • The creator of this contest is solely responsible for setting and communicating the eligibility requirements associated with prizes awarded to participants, as well as for procurement and distribution of all prizes. The contest creator holds HackerRank harmless from and against any and all claims, losses, damages, costs, awards, settlements, orders, or fines.
  • Code directly from our platform, which supports over 30 languages. Learn more here.
  • Participation from individuals or groups of maximum 3 participants and at least 1 participants are invited.
  • Participants may choose from programming language from C, C++, or Java or other available programming language to code.
  • The written code must successfully run on the online complier (HACKER RANK) system to qualify.
  • Indulging in any malicious practice or failure to abide by the rules mentioned above will result in immediate disqualification.
  • The candidates who want the internet facility from college, must report 15 mins prior to the commencement of the event with a valid college ID card.
  • Candidates must register themselves for the event on or before 24.03.17
  • Decision of the Jury will be final and binding.
  • The organisers reserve the right to modify the rules at any time without prior notice.
  • You can access the coding portal at the day of competition from anywhere. (Computer labs are ready with working PCs. If you want to use this PC, please contact the event co-ordinator)
  • Submission times will be noted, so if you solve the questions in the shortest times, your score will be higher.
  • All submissions are run through a plagiarism detector. Any case of code plagiarism will disqualify both users from the contest.
  • After registering in Tech-U-Topia, you must register in Hacker-Rank

Scoring

  • Each challenge has a pre-determined score.
  • A participant’s score depends on the number of test cases a participant’s code submission successfully passes.
  • If a participant submits more than one solution per challenge, then the participant’s score will reflect the highest score achieved. In a game challenge, the participant's score will reflect the last code submission.
  • If a participant submits more than one solution per challenge, then the participant’s score will reflect the highest score achieved.
  • Participants are ranked by score. If two or more participants achieve the same score, then the tie is broken by the total time taken for submitting the last correct code submission.
