CodeMin is a competitive programming contest where the participants don’t just need to solve the problems but write their code using the minimum number of characters. Solve the problems, optimize your code and shorten it. The shortest solution wins it all!

This event is a part of Tantrafiesta techfest of IIIT Nagpur.

Prizes

  • 1st Prize: ₹10,000
  • 2nd Prize: ₹7500
  • 3rd Prize: ₹5000

Rules

  • The creator of this contest is solely responsible for setting and communicating the eligibility requirements associated with prizes awarded to participants, as well as for procurement and distribution of all prizes. The contest creator holds HackerRank harmless from and against any and all claims, losses, damages, costs, awards, settlements, orders, or fines.
  • Code directly from our platform, which supports over 30 languages. Learn more here.
  • You have to write code to solve problems.
  • The twist is you have to use as few characters as possible.
  • Space and New line will be considered as characters.
  • Your last accepted solution will be used for scoring.
  • Language Constraint: C/C++.
  • Code submitted from other languages won't be considered for evaluation.

Scoring

  • Your code has to be accepted by the online judge.
  • Lesser the characters used, more the score.
  • Winners will be revealed on 16th October 2022.
  • Participants are ranked by score. If two or more participants achieve the same score, then the tie is broken by the total time taken to submit the last solution resulting in a higher score.
