  • For all participants who appear on the leaderboard, E-certificates will be given regardless of their achievement during the competition.
  • For all finalists who attend the final round, they will receive a set of CodeNection Kit.

Rules

  • The creator of this contest is solely responsible for setting and communicating the eligibility requirements associated with prizes awarded to participants, as well as for procurement and distribution of all prizes. The contest creator holds HackerRank harmless from and against any and all claims, losses, damages, costs, awards, settlements, orders, or fines.

  • Attendance of all team members is mandatory on the contest day, and there are NO provisions for substituting team members.
  • Only team member(s) who are physically present at the competition are eligible to participate in the final round. Team members are prohibited from communicating with any absent member(s) through any means or platform.
  • Each team must prepare its laptop, and only 2 laptop are allowed for use throughout the entire competition.
  • Each team is allowed to bring up to 25 sheets of A4 paper with printed notes, including language syntax and algorithms. Note that documentation for language syntax will NOT be provided.
  • Leaving the contest room requires permission from the committee.
  • The programming languages allowed are C, C++, Python, Java, and Javascript. Each of them has a predefined time and memory limits:
    • C: 2s, 512MB
    • C++: 2s, 512MB
    • Python: 3s, 512MB
    • Java: 3s, 1024MB
    • JavaScript: 3s, 1024MB
  • Your code must read input from STDIN and produce output to STDOUT.
  • You will be disqualified if found:
    • Plagiarism in any form in the content of your submitted code.
    • Sharing or using information regarding any problems prepared in the competition with any party or team before the end of a particular round.
    • Obfuscating the solution code or creating obstacles to its reading and understanding.
    • Using internet search, AI assistants, mobile phones, or tablets during the round.
    • Using pre-existing code or any code from external sources.

Scoring

  • Each team will be given 3 hours to solve 7 problems.
  • All the problems are sorted in ascending order by weight.
  • The official standings will be displayed on the CodeNection 2024 website.
  • A participant's ranking on the scoreboard is based on the priority listed below
    1. Number of points scored
    2. Total time for all considered submissions
  • In case of a tie where two participants have equal points and identical total submission times, and this tie affects finals qualification or awards, a tie-breaker will be scheduled and communicated in advance.
  • There will be no time penalty for incorrect submissions.
  • At least one member from the team is required to register for the competition on HackerRank using the same username submitted during registration.
  • For each question, participants can submit the solutions multiple times; only the first submission that scores the highest point will be considered for the team's score.
