Codestorm Practice Round is a practice contest for the participants to get familiar with the format of Codestorm Round 1

Rules

  • The creator of this contest is solely responsible for setting and communicating the eligibility requirements associated with prizes awarded to participants, as well as for procurement and distribution of all prizes. The contest creator holds HackerRank harmless from and against any and all claims, losses, damages, costs, awards, settlements, orders, or fines.

  • If the output does not match the output format, wrong answer verdict is given.
  • It is advised that the input files must be downloaded and worked upon. The output must be written onto a file and must be uploaded as plain text and submitted. The python checker file can be used to view the analysis of the solution.
  • Although writing code is allowed in the editor, writing output to a file and uploading as solution is advised to produce best results, as time and memory constraints may not allow for the best solutions to be obtained.

Scoring

  • The challenges are optimization problems.
  • A participant’s score depends on the how optimal the solution is.
  • If a participant submits more than one solution per challenge, then the participant’s score will reflect the highest score achieved.
  • Participants are ranked by score. If two or more participants achieve the same score, then the tie is broken by the total time taken to submit the last solution resulting in a higher score.
