We are excited to announce that Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education, Association for Computing Machinery (KARE ACM) Student Chapter (Chapter ID: 170084), is all set to present "KARE CodeX: An ACM Edition" - a Series of Coding Competitions. These competitions will be held monthly starting from September to February, culminating in a grand finale in March where the shortlisted participants from each monthly round will compete. In each monthly competition, 10 top participants will be selected for the shortlist. Each month, the top 10 participants, based on their scores, will be selected, and this process will continue for five months, culminating in a group of 50 students chosen to participate in the ACM ICPC (Association for Computing Machinery – International Collegiate Programming Contest), a prestigious global programming competition sponsored by IBM. Scoring

  • Each challenge has a pre-determined score.
  • A participant’s score depends on the number of test cases a participant’s code submission successfully passes.
  • If a participant submits more than one solution per challenge, then the participant’s score will reflect the highest score achieved. In a game challenge, the participant's score will reflect the last code submission.
  • Participants are ranked by score. If two or more participants achieve the same score, then the tie is broken by the total time taken to submit the last solution resulting in a higher score
