Set in an electrifying atmosphere, the Code Gala offers a platform for students to showcase their programming prowess and creativity. Whether you are an expert programmer or just starting out, this contest is open to everyone who enjoys coding.

Rules

  • The creator of this contest is solely responsible for setting and communicating the eligibility requirements associated with prizes awarded to participants, as well as for procurement and distribution of all prizes. The contest creator holds HackerRank harmless from and against any and all claims, losses, damages, costs, awards, settlements, orders, or fines.
  • Code directly from our platform, which supports over 30 languages. Learn more here.
  1. Copying code from external sources is strictly prohibited.
  2. Each question has a time limit. Submit it before or on time.
  3. Students can use your own preferred coding languge.
  4. Students are not allowed to switch tab in between taking the quiz and coding.
  5. Students are not allowed to share there codes with the other students , it will be taken in consideration and your score will be deducted.
  6. If similar codes will be found during the event you will be disqualified.
  7. Cash price will be dependent on the overall score in all rounds .
  8. Optimum solution will be scored more by the test cases.( Meaning the best solution will be scored.
  9. The final winner of the coding night will be judged based on the cumulative performance in all the four rounds.
  10. Plagiarism: HackerRank conducts a very strict plagiarism check, so make sure to showcase your authentic coding abilities.
  11. Tab Switching: During the event, participants are expected to focus solely on their coding tasks. Switching tabs is not allowed. If the tab switching is detected then your submission will be removed from submission list.
  12. Code from AI tools will not be considered.

Scoring

  1. Each question has a pre-determined score based on the difficulty level. Easy - 100 ; Medium - 200 ; Hard - 300

  2. A participant’s score depends on the number of test cases a participant’s code submission successfully passes.

  3. If a participant submits more than one solution per challenge, then the participant’s score will reflect the highest score achieved. In a game challenge, the participant's score will reflect the last code submission.
  4. Participants are ranked by score. If two or more participants achieve the same score, then the tie is broken by the total time taken to submit the last solution resulting in a higher score.
