  • 7 days of code is organised by BITD Developers Student Community to induce a daily coding habit among budding coders. This event will focus on the development of logical thinking, problem solving abilities and speeding up the learning process of an individual via the method of regular problem solving.

Prizes

  • The top three scorers would be getting a certificate of appreciation with applaud and huge shoutouts on our social media handles.
  • Participation certificates would be given to everyone who actively participates throughout those 7 days.

Rules

  • The creator of this contest is solely responsible for setting and communicating the eligibility requirements associated with prizes awarded to participants, as well as for procurement and distribution of all prizes. The contest creator holds HackerRank harmless from and against any and all claims, losses, damages, costs, awards, settlements, orders, or fines.
  • Code directly from our platform, which supports over 30 languages. Learn more here.
  • The event would begin with an opening ceremony scheduled on 01/03/21 at 8PM IST.
  • Each day would come with a new challenge (a single problem) unfolding from 02/03/21 at 12 am IST till the 7th day which is 08/03/21.
  • The time limit of problem for each day is the only 24 hours of that day because after that it would become unscorable the next day(Even if you solve it the next day ,you won't get any points for that.)
  • Participants are expected to post the screen shot of their work (Don't show the code)on any or all of their 3 social media handles(i.e. LinkedIn, Twitter or Instagram) daily during the event by tagging our official handles through #7DaysOfCode, #DeveloperStudentCommunity, #HackerRank.
  • A leaderboard will be maintained on the basis of points obtained.
  • Do not discuss solutions of problems with other participants.
  • Contest will be monitered to ensure the formation of a proper leaderboard.

Scoring

  • Each Problem will be of 100 points.
  • The time limit of problem for each day is the only 24 hours of that day because after that it would become unscorable the next day(Even if you solve it the next day ,you won't get any points for that.)
  • Once you have submitted the solution for a specific day, do NOT re-submit the problem in following days. If it is done, the points for that question will be lost which will cause the leaderboard to be modified.
  • In case of tie,the one who submits early would be placed higher in the leaderboard.
  • The countdown will start once you Open the specific problem page and last till your correct submission of that particular problem.
  • This time limit for individual problems are summed up at the last for leaderboared in case of a tie(i.e. the one with less total time will be ranked higher as compared to the one who has less time with same points).
