About

Zeitgeist is a Two Day National Level Technical Symposium of Department of Computer Science and Engineering- JNTUK kakinada. Started in 2004, ZEITGEIST was conceived with an ambition to provide the technically inclined students with a national level platform to showcase their technical expertise and share their knowledge. Zeitgeist organizes a number of events touching each genus of the Computer Science and Information Technology.

Zeitgeist provides you a platform to “unleash the coding beast” in you.

Prizes

  1. Top 100 performers from the First Round will be selected for the onsite round
  2. Top 3 members from onsite round will be awarded cash prize and the succeeding 2 will be getting a cool Tshirt of Zeitgeist 2K20.
  3. Selected Candidates list will be released with their hackerrank profile names in social media or Zeitgeist 2k20 website.

Rules

  • The creator of this contest is solely responsible for setting and communicating the eligibility requirements associated with prizes awarded to participants, as well as for procurement and distribution of all prizes. The contest creator holds HackerRank harmless from and against any and all claims, losses, damages, costs, awards, settlements, orders, or fines.

  • The contestant from first slot can attend second and third slots also,we will pick the score best of three slots for onsite round.
  • Similarly,The contestant from second slot can also attend third slot,we will pick the score best of their two slots for onsite round.
  • All submissions are run through a plagiarism detector. Any case of code plagiarism will disqualify both users from the contest.
  • Please refrain from discussing strategy during the contest.
  • HackerRank admin decisions are final.

Scoring

  • Each challenge has a pre-determined score.
  • A participant’s score depends on the number of test cases a participant’s code submission successfully passes.
  • If a participant submits more than one solution per challenge, then the participant’s score will reflect the highest score achieved. In a game challenge, the participant's score will reflect the last code submission.
  • Participants are ranked by score. If two or more participants achieve the same score, then the tie is broken by the total time taken to submit the last solution resulting in a higher score
