Rules

  • The creator of this contest is solely responsible for setting and communicating the eligibility requirements associated with prizes awarded to participants, as well as for procurement and distribution of all prizes. The contest creator holds HackerRank harmless from and against any and all claims, losses, damages, costs, awards, settlements, orders, or fines.

  1. Each participant must register with a valid HackerRank account. Anonymous entries will not be accepted.
  2. Participants must compete individually. Collaborations or group submissions are not allowed.
  3. Participants are expected to solve the problems using their own knowledge and skills. Any form of plagiarism will lead to disqualification.
  4. During the test, participants are allowed to use any programming language.
  5. The use of external resources, such as textbooks or internet sources, is allowed but sharing answers online or with other participants is strictly prohibited.
  6. The contest will run for a specified period of time. Late submissions will not be accepted.
  7. Participants will be ranked based on the number of problems solved and the time taken to solve them.
  8. In case of a tie, the participant who reached the score first will be ranked higher.
  9. All participants are expected to adhere to the HackerRank Code of Conduct.
  10. Any violation of these rules can lead to disqualification at the discretion of the organizers.

Scoring

  • Each challenge has a pre-determined score.
  • A participant’s score depends on the number of test cases a participant’s code submission successfully passes.
  • If a participant submits more than one solution per challenge, then the participant’s score will reflect the highest score achieved. In a game challenge, the participant's score will reflect the last code submission.
  • Participants are ranked by score. If two or more participants achieve the same score, then the tie is broken by the total time taken to submit the last solution resulting in a higher score
