Hack Sangraam is an exciting online coding competition organized by MU-ACM in association with Techno Clubs and Medi-Caps University. This event invites coders and developers from colleges across India to showcase their programming skills. With a prize pool comprising the total participation fee collected, this competition promises to test your logic, problem-solving, and coding expertise. Rules

  • The creator of this contest is solely responsible for setting and communicating the eligibility requirements associated with prizes awarded to participants, as well as for procurement and distribution of all prizes. The contest creator holds HackerRank harmless from and against any and all claims, losses, damages, costs, awards, settlements, orders, or fines.

Rules

Eligibility

  • Open to students from all colleges across India.
  • Each participant must register individually. Team participation is not allowed.

Registration

  • Participants must complete the registration and pay the participation fee before the deadline.
  • A valid email ID and contact number are required for all communications.

Contest Rules

  • The contest will be hosted online on the HackerRank platform.
  • Problems will include a mix of easy, medium, and hard difficulty levels, covering algorithms, data structures, and problem-solving.
  • Participants must write and submit code solutions within the given timeframe.

Scoring

  • Points are awarded for solving problems based on correctness and efficiency.
  • In case of a tie, submission timestamps will be used to determine rankings (earlier submissions rank higher).

Code of Conduct

  • Participants must write original code—plagiarism or using external help is strictly prohibited.
  • Communication or collaboration between participants during the event is not allowed.
  • Any violation of rules will result in immediate disqualification.

Technical Requirements

  • A stable internet connection is mandatory throughout the contest.
  • Participants should use a functional device (laptop or desktop) with access to HackerRank.

  • For any technical issues during the contest, contact the event coordinators immediately.

Scoring

The total score for this contest is 80 points, distributed across 9 problems as follows:

Problem Categories:

Easy Problems (4 problems):

  • Each problem is worth 5 points.
  • Total points from easy problems: 4 × 5 = 20 points.

Medium Problems (3 problems):

  • Each problem is worth 10 points.
  • Total points from medium problems: 3 × 10 = 30 points.

Hard Problems (2 problems):

  • Each problem is worth 15 points.
  • Total points from hard problems: 2 × 15 = 30 points.

Total Scoring:

  • Easy: 20 points
  • Medium: 30 points
  • Hard: 30 points
  • Total: 80 points

  • Each challenge has a pre-determined score.

  • A participant’s score depends on the number of test cases a participant’s code submission successfully passes.
  • If a participant submits more than one solution per challenge, then the participant’s score will reflect the highest score achieved. In a game challenge, the participant's score will reflect the last code submission.
  • Participants are ranked by score. If two or more participants achieve the same score, then the tie is broken by the total time taken to submit the last solution resulting in a higher score
