Given a problem, you can think of a solution. But given an answer, can you think of a solution? Vortex welcomes you to participate in a one of a kind event with Hunt the Code! Twist your brain to generate solutions for a given answer!

Format:

There is only one round:

The participants have to retrace the source code from the combination of inputs & outputs and write optimised code to run it against hidden test cases.

Prizes

Winners of this event will be awarded as follows:

  • First Prize: Rs 1500
  • Second Prize: Rs 1000
  • Third Prize: Rs 500

Eligibility Criteria for Prizes: Either fill up the GForm or use the same email registered with Vortex website to participate in this event for validation to get the prizes

Rules

  • The creator of this contest is solely responsible for setting and communicating the eligibility requirements associated with prizes awarded to participants, as well as for procurement and distribution of all prizes. The contest creator holds HackerRank harmless from and against any and all claims, losses, damages, costs, awards, settlements, orders, or fines.

  • It is an individual event.
  • Any act of plagiarism that results in an unfair advantage will lead to disqualification.
  • The solutions should not be made public during the contest. Similarities between the submissions will be checked and may lead to disqualification.

Scoring

  • Each challenge has a pre-determined score.
  • A participant’s score depends on the number of test cases a participant’s code submission successfully passes.
  • If a participant submits more than one solution per challenge, then the participant’s score will reflect the highest score achieved. In a game challenge, the participant's score will reflect the last code submission.
  • Participants are ranked by score. If two or more participants achieve the same score, then the tie is broken by the total time taken to submit the last solution resulting in a higher score
