Rules

  • The creator of this contest is solely responsible for setting and communicating the eligibility requirements associated with prizes awarded to participants, as well as for procurement and distribution of all prizes. The contest creator holds HackerRank harmless from and against any and all claims, losses, damages, costs, awards, settlements, orders, or fines.

  • This contest is for individuals; teams are not allowed.
  • Any competitor found cheating will be disqualified and banned from future coding contests.
  • Each program will be tested based on our critical test data. However output and input should be exactly as specified in the samples provided.

Scoring

  • Each challenge has a pre-determined score.
  • For each problem, the participant has to pass all its test cases to get a full score.
  • If a participant submits more than one solution per challenge, then the participant’s score will reflect the highest score achieved. In a game challenge, the participant's score will reflect the last code submission.
  • Participants are ranked by score. If two or more participants achieve the same score, then the tie will be broken by the following rule:
    • A time will be recorded for each question separately, starting from the time when you first view that question, and ending at when you completely solve it.
    • The participant whose sum of all the solved question's recorded time is minimum will be ranked higher.
    • No time will be recorded for a question you didn't solve.
