About

MoraXtream 5.0, a 12 hour all island inter university coding competition, will provide a better platform to display your programming knowledge and skills in a more enthusiastic manner.

Prizes

Winners will be awarded with cash prizes.

The top three winners will receive the following prizes:

  • 1st Place: A cash prize of LKR 20,000
  • 2nd Place: A cash prize of LKR 15,000
  • 3rd Place: A cash prize of LKR 10,000

Rules

  • The creator of this contest is solely responsible for setting and communicating the eligibility requirements associated with prizes awarded to participants, as well as for procurement and distribution of all prizes.   • Maximum of 3 members for a team are allowed.
  • Contesting teams must be registered in the MoraXtreme 5.0 portal.
  • HackerRank is used as the platform for the competition.
  • Teams will be ranked as per the criteria of HackerRank platform.
  • No need of IEEE memebership for participation
  • Teams must use the registered team name as the username
  • Username should be used as following in the HackerRank platform.
  • Ex : - Team Name -> "ABC" then Username -> ABC_mx5

Scoring

  • Each challenge has a pre-determined score.
  • A participant’s score depends on the number of test cases a participant’s code submission successfully passes.
  • If a participant submits more than one solution per challenge, then the participant’s score will reflect the highest score achieved. In a game challenge, the participant's score will reflect the last code submission.
  • Participants are ranked by score. If two or more participants achieve the same score, then the tie is broken by the total time taken to submit the last solution resulting in a higher score
