Rules

  • The creator of this contest is solely responsible for setting and communicating the eligibility requirements associated with prizes awarded to participants, as well as for procurement and distribution of all prizes. The contest creator holds HackerRank harmless from and against any and all claims, losses, damages, costs, awards, settlements, orders, or fines.
  • Code directly from our platform, which supports over 30 languages. Learn more here.
  • A maximum of 3 members for a team is allowed.
  • HackerRank is used as the platform for the competition. Your team must use your team name as username in the HackerRank platform, such that your submissions are counted for the competition.
    Ex : - Team Name -> "ABC" then Username -> ABC_MX8
    (It's recommended to create a new HackerRank account for the competition because all the team members must log in through one account.)
  • Teams will be ranked as per the criteria on the HackerRank platform.
  • No need for IEEE membership for participation.
  • Your submissions will be subjected to a plagiarism check.
  • All decisions of the MoraXtreme 8.0 Organizing Committee are final and binding in all matters related to MoraXtreme 8.0 competition.

Scoring

  • Each challenge has a pre-determined score, and the score for a question is evaluated by the number of test cases the competitor can complete successfully.
  • A participant’s score depends on the number of test cases a participant’s code submission successfully passes.
  • If a participant submits more than one answer for a challenge, the highest score achieved is evaluated as the final score of that challenge.
  • The participants are ranked according to the score. If two or more participants achieve the same score, the winner will be selected by the total time taken to submit the last solution resulting in the highest score.
