Do you have an interest in Computer Science and Finance? Join the NSE ISB CodeSprint to solve complex challenges similar to what algorithmic traders face every day.


You will be presented with 3 challenges - Coding, Optimization and Machine Learning. Submit your code and resultant CSVs files. The contest will remain open for 5 days starting Saturday, March 25th, 2017 7:00 PM IST.

Prizes

Top 5 participants will be invited to an all-expenses-paid trip to observe the annual Summer Research Conference held at the Indian School of Business , which this year will be held on July 28-29, 2017. The Conference has a worldwide appeal and is attended by top academics across the globe. Additionally, there are some more prizes as mentioned below:

Rules

  • The creator of this contest is solely responsible for setting and communicating the eligibility requirements associated with prizes awarded to participants, as well as for procurement and distribution of all prizes. The contest creator holds HackerRank harmless from and against any and all claims, losses, damages, costs, awards, settlements, orders, or fines.
  • Code directly from our platform, which supports over 30 languages. Learn more here.
  • The contest is open to everyone, but only participants who reside in India are eligible to win a prize.
  • Prizes will be rewarded to participants who give consent to share their information.
  • The contest is open for 5 days. The contest starts on Saturday, March 25th, 2017 7:00 PM IST and ends on Thursday, March 30th, 2017 10:00 AM IST.
  • Winners could be asked to demonstrate their work and share their codes before prizes are dispensed.
  • HackerRank admins decision will be final.

Scoring

  • Each challenge has a pre-determined score.
  • A participant’s score depends on the number of test cases a participant’s code submission successfully passes.
  • If a participant submits more than one solution per challenge, then the participant’s score will reflect the highest score achieved.
  • Participants are ranked by score. If two or more participants achieve the same score, then the tie is broken by the total time taken for submitting the last correct code submission.
  • Optimisation Challenge and Machine Learning Challenge will be evaluated based on a custom checker that runs over submitted CSVs.
