The 20th edition of Kshitij, the annual techno-management symposium of IIT Kharagpur is hosting the 2023 Overnite Multi-Provincial Programming Contest.

The final round are to be held from 1:45 AM, 22nd January to 3:45 AM, 22nd January, 2023.

How to create teams: Each participant can register individually. But once the contest starts, their submission will be counted to the team they belong. To create a team, one of the user (who is also the team head) has to go to Settings and click on 'Teams' in the left side bar. Then, click on 'create team'. Create a new team and invite members. Ask the other members to confirm by going to www.hackerrank.com/settings. That's all! Once the contest starts, you can submit code from any one of the account and it will be counted as a team submission.

Prizes

  • INR 20,000 to the winner.
  • INR 12,000 to the first runner-up.
  • INR 8,000 to the second runner-up.
  • Consolation prize money of INR 5,000 to next two teams.

Rules

  • The creator of this contest is solely responsible for setting and communicating the eligibility requirements associated with prizes awarded to participants, as well as for procurement and distribution of all prizes. The contest creator holds HackerRank harmless from and against any and all claims, losses, damages, costs, awards, settlements, orders, or fines.

  • Maximum team size is 4.
  • Overnite is a C/C++/Java/Python-Programming competition.

Scoring

  • Each challenge has a pre-determined score.
  • A participant’s score depends on the number of test cases a participant’s code submission successfully passes.
  • If a participant submits more than one solution per challenge, then the participant’s score will reflect the highest score achieved. In a game challenge, the participant's score will reflect the last code submission.
  • Participants are ranked by score. If two or more participants achieve the same score, then the tie is broken by the total time taken to submit the last solution resulting in a higher score.
