  • The creator of this contest is solely responsible for setting and communicating the eligibility requirements associated with prizes awarded to participants, as well as for procurement and distribution of all prizes. The contest creator holds HackerRank harmless from and against any and all claims, losses, damages, costs, awards, settlements, orders, or fines.

Rules & Regulations 🏁

📌 Eligibility

  • Open to First-Year (FY,SY and TY) students.
  • Participants must register before the deadline.

📌 Contest Format

  • The contest will be conducted offline in the campus of MITAOE, on the designated platform.
  • It consists of algorithmic and data structure-based problems.
  • Participants must write and submit code within the given timeframe.

📌 Code of Conduct

  • Plagiarism is strictly prohibited – Submissions must be original.
  • Participants must not discuss solutions with others during the contest.
  • Any use of AI-generated code (like ChatGPT, Copilot, etc.) is not allowed.

📌 Scoring & Ranking

  • Problems have different weightages based on difficulty.
  • Ties will be resolved based on time of submission.

📌 Technical Guidelines

  • Allowed languages: C, C++, Java, Python etc (All Languages Supported).
  • Participants should ensure a stable internet connection.
  • Code should be optimized and well-structured.

📌 Disqualification Criteria

  • Violation of any rules or plagiarism will result in immediate disqualification.
  • Any malicious activity detected in the system will lead to removal from the contest.

Scoring

The scoring system is designed to ensure fairness and reward efficiency.

  1. Each problem carries a different score based on its difficulty level.
  2. The final score is calculated based on the total points earned.
  3. No penalty for unanswered or incorrect submissions.

📌 Ranking Criteria

  1. The primary ranking is based on the total score.
  2. Case of a tie, ranking is determined by:
    • Total time taken (sum of time for all correctly solved problems).
    • If still tied, the participant who solved the first problem earlier gets a higher rank.
