Welcome to PRO-C: Debug de Bug!

Thank you for your participation. As the name suggest, participants must debug the given code snippets consisting of syntax, logic and runtime errors. Additionally, a few optional coding challenges are also available. Feel free to study before attempting. May the odds be ever in your favor.

Rules

  • The creator of this contest is solely responsible for setting and communicating the eligibility requirements associated with prizes awarded to participants, as well as for procurement and distribution of all prizes. The contest creator holds HackerRank harmless from and against any and all claims, losses, damages, costs, awards, settlements, orders, or fines.

  1. Before
    • Debug de Bug is open to UNITEN students only.
    • Participants must sign in/sign up a hackerrank account.
  2. During
    • Debug de Bug consists of 10 challenges altogether.
    • Challenge 1-5 are in debugging format. Participants may be given a code snippet with several errors. Debug and rewrite the entire code to obtain desired output.
    • Participants must answer at least 3 challenges to be eligible for scorun.
    • Challenge 6-10 are optional programming challenges. Participants may or may not attempt to answer these challenges. Marks will be explained further in Scoring section below.
    • Participants can view and answer the challenges anytime between the the stated period (12 July, 12.00PM until 17 July, 11.59PM).
    • Participants will have infinite attempts to submit their code. The first correct submission will be counted.
    • Check your hackerrank account daily for any notifications from the organizer. A Google Form link will be sent for scorun purposes. Please be aware and fill in the necessary details.
    • For any clarification, please ask through discussion forum tab or contact via PRO-C Members Telegram Group.
  3. After
    • Any submissions after the event period will not be accepted.
    • Winners will be announced the following days through Instagram and e-mail.
    • Decision from the organizer is final and may not be contested.

Scoring

  • Challenge 1-5 are valued 10 marks each.
  • Challenge 6-10 are valued 20 marks each.
  • Total marks is 150 marks.
  • Winner is decided by the total marks obtained.
  • In an event of a tie, the sum of time of the first correct submission for all the problems since viewing individual challenge will be the tiebreaker.
