Register for the Plano West High School Programming Contest, open to all competitors!

Rules

  • The creator of this contest is solely responsible for setting and communicating the eligibility requirements associated with prizes awarded to participants, as well as for procurement and distribution of all prizes. The contest creator holds HackerRank harmless from and against any and all claims, losses, damages, costs, awards, settlements, orders, or fines.
  • Code directly from our platform, which supports over 30 languages. Learn more here.
  • You are allowed to work alone or collaborate in teams of up to three contestants, but only one computer may be used.
  • Cheating is strictly prohibited. External resources and prewritten code are allowed, so long as you have written it yourself OR it has been previously published at a date prior to the start of the contest.
  • You may not register for this contest if you are taking the onsite Plano West Invitational.

Scoring

  • Each challenge has a pre-determined score.
  • A participant will earn points for a challenge only through successfully passing all test cases. No partial credit will be awarded.
  • If a participant submits more than one solution per challenge, then the participant’s score will reflect the highest score achieved.
  • Participants are ranked by score. If two or more participants achieve the same score, then the tie is broken by the sum of the times of submission of the first correct solution to each solved problem.
