Rules

  • The creator of this contest is solely responsible for setting and communicating the eligibility requirements associated with prizes awarded to participants, as well as for procurement and distribution of all prizes. The contest creator holds HackerRank harmless from and against any and all claims, losses, damages, costs, awards, settlements, orders, or fines.

Registration: All participants must register on the competition platform before the event begins. Make sure to provide accurate information during registration.

Internet Connection: Participants are responsible for ensuring a stable internet connection throughout the competition. Any disruptions due to connectivity issues are the participant's responsibility.

Code Submission: Code submissions must be made through the designated online platform within the competition's time frame. Late submissions won't be accepted.

Code Integrity: Participants are expected to maintain the integrity of their code. Any attempts to manipulate or tamper with the competition platform or another participant's work will result in disqualification.

Proctoring: Some online competitions may implement proctoring methods to ensure the integrity of the event. Participants should follow the proctoring guidelines if they are in place.

Fair Play: Adhere to ethical conduct in all online interactions. Any form of cheating, collusion, or unauthorized sharing of solutions will result in disqualification.

Scoring

  • Each challenge has a pre-determined score.
  • A participant’s score depends on the number of test cases a participant’s code submission successfully passes.
  • If a participant submits more than one solution per challenge, then the participant’s score will reflect the highest score achieved. In a game challenge, the participant's score will reflect the last code submission.
  • Participants are ranked by score. If two or more participants achieve the same score, then the tie is broken by the total time taken to submit the last solution resulting in a higher score
