VMware Campus Ambassador Program presents before you Coding Challenge- A thrilling coding battle where you can get a chance to brush up your coding skills and build up your problem solving skills. This brings you an opportunity to get accustomed with the online assesments of VMware and will fast-track your placement/internship preparation as you will get a chance to solve really standard questions ultimately building your analytical and problem solving skills.

The contest will begin on 16th April 2022 at 7:300 PM. The duration of the contest will be 90 mins during which the participants have to solve 3 questions (1 easy, 1 medium, 1 hard). All your codes and answers will be saved but you will have to submit your solutions before the time expires to be considered for evaluation.

Note: You can make multiple submissions for all questions. The solution will the highest score will be considered for final evaluation.

All the students/participants are requested to register for the contest before the starting time

Rules

  • The creator of this contest is solely responsible for setting and communicating the eligibility requirements associated with prizes awarded to participants, as well as for procurement and distribution of all prizes. The contest creator holds HackerRank harmless from and against any and all claims, losses, damages, costs, awards, settlements, orders, or fines.

Please read the rules of the contest given below:

  1. Registration/Sign-up is important for all the participant. All must complete their registration through this hackerrank portal before the start of the contest. To register, one must have a hackerrank account. If you don't have an account yet, you can create a new account.

  2. The timer will will run continuously before the start of the contest indicating the time left for the contest to start. Please make sure that you keep a track of those.

  3. The contest will begin at sharp 7:30 PM. Please take note that if any participant starts the contest late, they will get less time for solving the questions.

  4. You can switch between questions during the contest, run your code any number of times and can make multiple submissions for each questions.

  5. There are visible test cases present for each questions. make sure that your solutions pass those. Although the final evaluation will depend on the number of private test cases passed for each questions.

  6. This contest is a part of VMware Campus Ambassador Program, so all questions will be standard with one question each from easy, medium and hard level so that the contest can be accessed by both the beginners and expert coders.

Scoring

  • Each challenge has a pre-determined score.
  • A participant’s score depends on the number of test cases a participant’s code submission successfully passes.
  • If a participant submits more than one solution per challenge, then the participant’s score will reflect the highest score achieved. In a game challenge, the participant's score will reflect the last code submission.
  • Participants are ranked by score. If two or more participants achieve the same score, then the tie is broken by the total time taken to submit the last solution resulting in a higher score
