    but i tried in this way:

    select city ,length(city) from station where length(city)= (select min(length(city)) from station order by length(city) asc);

                                          select city,length(city) from station where length(city)=(select max(length(city))from station order by city asc);

                                                                                the output is 

                                                                                Roy-3 
                                                                                Amo -3
                                                                                Lee -3
                                                                                Marine On Saint Croix 21
