This year Srijan brings to you the event 'Pass the Baton' that requires not only coding skills but also proper understanding between team members.

This event can be considered as an equivalent of Relay Race in Coding Community, where coders take turn in solving the same problem.

Team Registraion

Participation in this contest will be as a team of EXACTLY three. Participants MUST belong to the same institution. All submissions must be made from the TEAM LEAD hackerrank id as mentioned in the below form.

Filling of this form is mandatory for participation in the event Pass the baton.

Rules

  • The creator of this contest is solely responsible for setting and communicating the eligibility requirements associated with prizes awarded to participants, as well as for procurement and distribution of all prizes. The contest creator holds HackerRank harmless from and against any and all claims, losses, damages, costs, awards, settlements, orders, or fines.
  • Code directly from our platform, which supports over 30 languages. Learn more here.
  • Please refrain from discussing strategy during the contest.
  • All submissions are run through a plagiarism detector. Any case of code plagiarism will disqualify both users from the contest.
  • You can also code using our interface, which currently supports over 40 major languages. Learn about our environment and time limits here. If you are not yet familiar with our platform, check out Solve me first to acquaint yourself with I/O.
  • Top 15 teams will qualify for the finals. Make sure you fill the form provided in the description for your submissions to be judged.
  • Participants MUST be in a team on EXACTLY three and MUST be from the SAME college.
  • The decision of the JU CodeClub officials is final and biding.

Scoring

  • Each challenge has a pre-determined score.
  • A participant’s score depends on the number of test cases a participant’s code submission successfully passes.
  • If a participant submits more than one solution per challenge, then the participant’s score will reflect the highest score achieved.
  • Participants are ranked by score, with the cumulative time taken (between the contest's start time and the time of your correct submission) used to break ties.
  • The time consumed for a solved problem is the time elapsed from the beginning of the contest to the submittal of the first accepted run. There is no time consumed for a problem that is not solved.
